Office Policies (What To Expect)
Your First Visit
During your first visit to our office we review your medical/dental history and perform a thorough clinical examination. At that time we will answer most of your questions. Many times additional diagnostic records are needed to determine the best course of treatment. These records typically include: plaster study models of the teeth, photos of the patient's face and teeth, and X-rays of the teeth and bones. This information is used to develop a custom treatment plan for each patient. These records are also helpful in tracking the progress of treatment as the teeth move under orthodontic care.
Consultation
After the doctor has evaluated your records we discuss your treatment with you in detail, including the fee for your particular case.
Regular Appointments
The appointment when you receive your appliances (braces, expanders, etc.) usually takes one to two hours. We then see you at regular monthly intervals for adjustments. These appointments usually take 15 to 20 minutes. Patients are seen by appointment only. We make every effort to be on time for these appointments, and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately.
Payment & Fees
Treatment fees depend on the severity of the patient's problem. You will be able to discuss fees and payment options before treatment begins. To fit your individual needs, financial arrangements can be made to extend your payments up to several years. Many payment plans are available to suit different budgets. We can even help you finance your treatment and assist in filing necessary paperwork required by your insurance company. We work hard to make orthodontics affordable including accepting payments by VISA and MASTERCARD.
If full payment is made at the onset of treatment, we will offer a fee discount. (If you have insurance, we will offer a discount for payment of your portion of the fee that will not be covered by insurance.)
